Costume Contest offers $50 gift certificates

Each year, colorful and imaginative costumes are a highlight of the Pacific Marine Credit Union O'side Turkey Trot. Now is the time to start planning your costume. The effort could win you a $50 gift certificate to 333 Pacific Steak & Seafood, as well as a lot of smiles on race day.

The top three costume contestants will receive the gift certificates from the Oceanside restaurant, which also is awarding certificates in the team competition.

Last year's costume winner certainly lived up to the tradition of color and imagination at the O'side Turkey Trot. Kitanna Leasiolagi, a 10-year-old, created a costume that gobbled up the competition (see photo below). For her winning efforts, Kitanna won a gift certificate to 333 Pacific Steak & Seafood.
